Found dog (found puppy), Goodlettsville, TN

laceypupsmall.jpgIn the event that the people of this sweet puppy try googling, I thought I’d post a found dog (or found puppy) notice on my blog. Plus all you non-tn readers can see the cute visitor we have with us!

Probably a dachshund mix…[Edit: I've taken down more details about this puppy after having been warned that there are people out there who answer found puppy ads and claim to be the dogs owners and then use them for pit bull baiting... this is wrong on so many levels... SO if this is your dog, I guess you'll be able to describe this puppy to me, and that will be that, otherwise, I'm keeping this puppy, so there!]

What did she just follow you home, walk in the door, and announce she’d be just fine staying? Coz that’s about what this one did ;-)

no, she followed my friend home when he was jogging on a camp trip. came out of the woods and followed him to camp. she stuck around. we all left, i went back, she was still there so i went shopping for some bath stuff & food. she was still there. so i took her home. in that part of the state there are always puppies being dumped at spots along the roads or at dump sites. so i never felt bad about it.

hehe… no worries, I found the lovely Erin’s blog-o and I shall be reading!

I think she was dumped too… I’ve been interviewing neighbors and they said that two puppies like her showed up over a week ago now (more like close to a week before I found her), and one resident took in one of them (some people didn’t realize there were two, and thought she was the one he’d taken in and then somehow gotten away, but more observant folks described them to me and there were definitely two corroborated from several witnesses) I’ve called the neighboring apartment complexes, looked for flyers, e-mailed all the vets in the area, plus the shelter, and the doxie rescue, nada. So I’m keeping her :-P Otto’s not sure what to think of her never ending supply of energy, but she’ll grow up!
